Notice of Race Corsica Classic 2015


Sixth Corsica Classic is organized by association Corsica Classic Yachting of the 23 at August 30, 2015 under the patronage of Yacht Club de France



1. RULES
 
 

The regatta will be governed by :
 
 

1.1 The rules as defined in The Racing Rules of Sailing (RRS).
 
 

1.2 National requirements will apply.
 
 

1.3 Federal regulations and CIM measurement rules and IRC 2015.
 
 

1.4 Part B, Section II of the International Regulations for Preventing Collisions at sea (COLREG) when it replaces RRS chapter 2.
 
 

1.5 Special Regulations Offshore Class 3 (RSO3) will apply.
 
 

1.6 In case of translation of this notice of race, the French text shall prevail.
 
 

2. ADVERTISING
 
 

Pursuant to Regulation 20 (ISAF Advertising Code), as amended by the Advertising regulation of the French Sailing Federation, boats can be required to wear the chosen, and supplied by the organizing authority, advertising.
 
 

3. ALLOWED BOATS AND REGISTRATION
 
 

3.1 The regatta is open to all « Tradition Yachts » ICM classed, and « Spirit of Tradition » classed IRC 2015.
 
 

3.2 Competitors (each crew member) with an FFVoile license must present at the time of registration :
 
 

• Their FFVoile club license for the current year with the medical stamp or accompanied by a medical certificate of fitness for a sailing competition dated less than a year prior, and a parental consent for minors ;
 

• If necessary, the authorization to carry advertising ;
 

• The measurement certificate of conformity for the year.
 
 

3.3 Foreign competitors (each crew member) who do not have an FFVoile license must present at time of registration :
 
 

• proof of their membership of a national Authority member of ISAF ;
 

• the measurement certificate of conformity ;
 

• a valid civil liability insurance with minimum coverage of 1.5 million ;
 

• a medical certificate of fitness for a sailing competition dated less than a year
prior (in French or in English), and a parental permission for minors.
 
 

3.4 The number of boats that can register is limited to 40. Pre-registration sheets, (see end of the french notice of race), will be recorded in order of receipt by the organizing authority. The event will be cancelled if the number of pre-registrationsis less than 10 to 15 August 2015.
 
 

3.5 Vessels representatives should complete the official inscription before 23 July 2015, the If the number of crew is not yet final at that date, the representative of pre-registered boats must complete the crew list and pay the registration fees on 23 August in Ajaccio.
 
 

4. FEES
 
 

Registration fees are set at € 150 per crew (skipper included).

Sunday 30 august 7th race - Trophy of te town of Bonifacio-Award ceremony
 
 

A competitors briefing will be held at 10 am every day. Either near the committee boat if competitors are in port (Ajaccio, Bonifacio, Porto-Vecchio), or by VHF if competitors
 

are anchored (Porto-Pollo, Santa Giulia). To reduce certain legs deemed too long, courses will be shortened depending on weather conditions. For all departures, time of the first signal will be set at noon. For all races, (normal or reduced), the time limit is 20 hours.
 
 

6. CLASSIFICATION
 
 

6.1 Two races must be completed to count for this event.
 
 

6.2 Results will be calculated according to time on distance APM awarded by CIM class, for each boat « Classic Yachts ».
 
 

6.3 Results will be calculated according to time on distance "TCC calculated " with BSF at least equal to 516.3 for « Spirit of Tradition » yachts.
 
 

7. PRIZES
 
 

Prizes will be given to the first three of each class.
 
 

8. DECISION TO RACE
 
 

The decision of a competitor to participate in a race or to continue racing is under its own responsibility. Accordingly, by agreeing to participate in the race, or to continue racing, the competitor discharges the organizing authority from any liability in case of damage (hardware and / or person)
